I left from the US with mixed feelings, how would I handle work in India, the ever-intrusive relatives etc after living 10 yrs in a diff country. Plus an ardent AOL fan in my mum...aarrghh keep your faith to yourself.
Anyways the first month has been eventful and there have been some hiccups and some pleasant & refreshing incidents which left me status quo about my R2I.
1. Drivers License: I misplaced my drivers license and have been going to the RTO for the past month to get it only to hear "come back in 5 days, 15 days.... 1 mahine baad". My folks told me "kuch dena tha na" but me being me wanted to start off on a right note but my patience is running out...
2. My shipment from US : It was supposed to come down on the 9th and all I have been hearing is "kal pakka sir... customs dekh rahi hai... aaj shaam tak sir". Ive already postponed my other travel plans because of this and seriously this one's getting on my nerves more than anything else. Its as if I would eat them alive ( I might actually but that involve some broken furniture...in which case I would fry them first).
3. Then there were refreshing ones: This was where I expected the least help...my work place. My subordinates, colleagues have been the best help...helping me out with the various things I need, like a ride to the workplace, ride to the nearest shop to buy stuff, etc.
Lets see how it goes from now on...coz there are a few more things in the pipeline...this is sven signing off for now..
